Are there any books you would suggest for beginners - perhaps something for people familiar with ASP but with no experience in OOP or ASP.NET?

Thanks!

Well, my problem with the beginner books is that they kind of gloss over the concept of OOP, and as such, people treat ASP.NET like it's just a scripting platform. I would say go with any book that has "beginner" in the title, but read this one right after.

If you know ASP, basically you're almost starting over anyway. It really is that different.

The problem is not all beginner books are created equal. I hoped that someone with as much ASP.NET experience as you might know of a few good ones.

Well with that experience I don't read a lot of beginner books. Back in the day, I liked "Beginning ASP.NET with C#/VB.NET" (two book titles, same content, different languages) from Wrox Press. No idea if that is still printed.

I used the books recommended here, quite good and helpful for ASP.NET new learners. *** Edited 1/28/2013 2:50:27 AM UTC by rogergellar***
